Get to Know Sharon Goldberg Interior Design: Your Trusted Design Experts
Sharon Goldberg Interior Design has been making homes and businesses beautiful for over 20 years. I have been in the design business in various capacities for over 30 years. After graduating from college with a Fine Arts degree, I completed a Masters program. My first entry into the profession was as a sales associate in a showroom at Philadelphia’s Marketplace Design Center. There, I sold fabric, wallcovering, furniture, lighting, and accessories to the trade. I also was lucky enough to be a buyer for the showroom. While I loved what I did, I yearned to see the finished product. People had been asking me to help them with their projects, so I took a chance and formed Sharon Goldberg Interior Design.
I have been grateful for my clients who continually use my services, whether to freshen a room or start from scratch. I have also expanded my design firm to include commercial work, having designed multiple professional offices, a wedding venue, and a headquarters for a nonprofit organization.
In case you were wondering, yes, I do have a life outside of my business. My husband and I have raised four children and a shih-tzu in suburbia. They are now all grown, so I am happy to report that my previously crazy life has settled down, leaving me more time to focus on design.
My goal is to listen to your thoughts, needs, and ideas and turn them into a beautiful, functional reality, whether your taste is modern, traditional, or transitional. Tired of hearing about me? I know I am, so let’s connect, so I can hear all about you and your soon-to-be beautiful space.
I have been in the design industry for 13 years; soon after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, I took my first role in a high-end area rug showroom at the Design Center of Philadelphia. There, I soaked up all the knowledge I could about high-end residential area rugs, fabrics, furnishings & the trade. Meeting a plethora of interior designers taught me the various ways designers and clients interact and how personal connection is even more important than the design process. If there is no trust, there is no process. Having started a family right out of design school has influenced my design sensibility to bridge the gap between practicality & function with beautiful & inspiring. Our homes deserve to be a reflection of the people that live inside of them, to enhance their lifestyles and help them function best. A maximalist at heart, I love injecting art, collected pieces, and lots of color into any spaces I collaborate on.
